We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
Do you want to work with friendly colleagues in newly renovated, centrally located premises? We are developing our work with placed youth and are looking for you who want to work as a social worker with us, as one of our colleagues moves on to another assignment.
Here you will have the opportunity to work with two experienced and dedicated colleagues in family care. With us, you will become an important part of our community and have the chance to do important and stimulating work.
We offer
We enjoy working together in the unit, and our focus is to ensure that children and youth have good growing conditions. Since Kungsholmen is a small district administration where we all know each other, it is easy to collaborate both internally within the unit and externally with colleagues in other units.
As an employee of Kungsholmen's district administration, you will be offered, among other things, wellness benefits, flexible working hours, and the opportunity for vacation exchange. As an employee of the City of Stockholm, you also have access to a heavily subsidized membership card for the city's publicly operated swimming pools and outdoor pools. Your role
The assignment will consist of family care work where you will be responsible for recruitment, investigation, and guidance of foster homes, contact persons, and contact families. The family care team is a small group consisting of you and two colleagues, and you will share the family care work in the roles of child secretary and foster home secretary. An ongoing development effort is that we, for example, meet the placed children more often than before and work for a strengthened collaboration between social services, foster homes, and biological parents. Family care also works with some supported housing placements and emergency placements.
The target group requires flexibility and a solution-focused approach. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for follow-up and support for the children so that they have the best possible conditions for favorable development.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- a degree in social work
- several years of experience in public authority concerning children and youth, preferably both family care work and investigation
- good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well in both speech and writing
- experience in independently managing your processes
It is an advantage if you have:
- a B driver's license as travel is included in the position
In this recruitment, we particularly focus on the following abilities and skills: You enjoy working together with colleagues but also have a good ability to work independently, create structure, and prioritize your work. You are fearless and proactive and want to make things happen. You thrive when the days are different and, in some cases, do not turn out as you thought in the morning. You are good at collaborating and building good relationships.
Warm welcome with your application!
Your application
To strengthen the focus on the competencies and experience required for this role, you do not need to attach a personal letter. In assessing your application, we will base it on your CV and a number of questions you will answer when applying for the position. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competencies and thus counteracting discrimination.
